- From Bags to Riches [FBTR] began operating as an e-commerce business in October of 2004 and is headquartered in St Paul,
Minn. The company’s mission is to make high fashion highly affordable by borrowing designer handbags to consumers at a fraction of the retail price.
- FBTR carries handbags from the most sought after designer brands, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Kate Spade, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Gucci, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, Chloe and numerous others.
- Bag rental prices range from $22.95 to $299.95, depending on the designer and crafting of the purse. Our merchandise is organized by price in categorical Collections. Four of our six Collections feature sumptuous handbags that can borrowed for under $55 a month.
- In May of 2006, merchandise was expanded to include runway designer handbags. A total of three bags are allowed to be borrowed at one time.
- FBTR takes the authenticity of its bags very seriously. All of our bags are purchased from authorized distributors; purses are never purchased from third-party sellers. We never carry fake, faux or replica bags — ever!
- All available bags are in new or like-new condition, and it is our goal to ensure that the customer can not tell the difference. All bags are hand inspected and must pass approval from management prior to shipment. We maintain exceptionally high standards and will never ship a bag that does not meet our strict guidelines.
- FBTR emphasizes choice and flexibility. We strive to always be responsive to the customer’s unique needs. Bags can be borrowed for any length of time, be it a week, month or more. Borrowing time can be extended at any time with a simple phone call or email.
- Bags can be borrowed on an as-needed basis. Customers do not have to endure monthly membership fees to borrow a bag. However, frequent customers can choose to become part of the Club Diva rewards program and expand their borrowing benefits. Club Diva membership costs $15.95 a month.
- If a customer finds parting with a bag too difficult, she can purchase it for a deeply discounted price. FBTR helps alleviate high retail pricing even further by applying a portion of the borrowing charge to the purchasing of the bag in the second rental month.
- The fashion industry operates in a persistent state of progression, reinvention and renovation. New styles go out as quickly as they come in. The combination of high expense and low shelf life makes designer apparel affordable to only a few. The concept of borrowing levels the playing field and allows everyone the opportunity to carry the latest styles and forgo the cost. Genius!
